My love affair with Brighton started in 2015; after few years in London, my partner and I decided to give Brighton a go; we never looked back! I have been thoroughly enjoying the laidback lifestyle Brighton and Hove have to offer. People here are amiable, and we felt welcome immediately. Three years down the line, I know my neighbours, I feel I am part of the community, and as a massive bonus, I can walk down to the beach to hear the waves anytime...
Whoever you are and whatever you are into, you will find something to do in Brighton! Often nicknamed “Shoreditch by sea”, for me it has it all. The food scene is incredible - Brightonians being a very conscientious bunch, the city is bursting with excellent eatery of locally sourced products yet being very international in their offering. From Michelin star chef-run restaurants to fantastic street food, the city doesn’t fail to deliver.
Brighton is busy, and there is always something going on: from the Burning the Clocks winter solstice festival and Brighton Fringe to the Hove cheese festival, having a great time is pretty much guaranteed. In spring and summer, the whole city takes on the beach on the beach, giving a full new meaning to British Summer! If the pebble beach and seagulls don’t take your fancy, a walk in the Lanes on a sunny day will definitely hit the spot. The city centre is quaint, the streets are narrow, and the collection of shops is incredible; every corner of this city will surprise you.
Brighton is rich and diverse. It is home to two universities giving the city a great buzz. There is always a good show on or some live music somewhere around the town. There is also some beautiful place to see in Brighton: the Pavilion, Preston Manor, Palmeira Mansion and many more, it is never a dull moment here, and the city never fails to surprise me.
I love that Brighton connects well with the rest of the world. Only 30 minutes away from Gatwick airport, which brings a large number of international travellers and students to the city. Moreover, we are less than an hour by train to London so if you are a Londoner in need of fresh air, or the idea of staying in the big city is not appealing, Brighton is down the road.
Brighton is one of those places that attract a lot of attention. The number of festivals and events taking place in Brighton draws 8 million people to the city every year, so there is a real opportunity for short term let in Brighton and Hove. Being the UK’s most popular seaside destination and only one hour away from London, Brighton is an appealing destination during the school holidays, but it also welcomes many tourists who want to enjoy the city for a weekend break.
Letting properties on Airbnb has always been a popular choice amongst the people of Brighton and due to the popularity of this seaside resort, Pass the Keys has now arrived to provide support to Hosts in Brighton with the Airbnb management of their properties.
Brighton property management companies tend to focus on long let and student accommodation, which means that there is a real gap in the market for short-term and holiday let. Pass the Keys has been working hard over the last two years to perfect its booking system, giving the Hosts the support they need to short let their property on Airbnb but also, on Booking.com, HomeAway, and many more.
Being able to advertise the Hosts’ listing on different platforms has enabled Pass the Keys to maximise the Hosts revenue and their property occupancy level.
On the 9th April 2018, an Airbnb press release announced Pass the Keys as an official co-host which is yet again, great news for our Hosts and future Hosts. As an official co-host, Pass the Keys is providing a local and tailored service, making it easier for the Host to let and manage their property for short-term let and holiday let. As an official co-host, Pass the Keys aim to provide guests a relaxed, comfortable and memorable stay. We manage guest communication, arrange bookings on behalf of the Host and will also manage Host/Guest revenue to ensure the property always receive the best rating.
Hosts in Brighton need Pass the Keys to make their Hosting journey easy, give them the piece of mind that property management of their property is being taken care of and maximise their property revenue.
Pass the Keys is young, dynamic, growing fast but most importantly, Pass the Keys is providing an excellent service to Hosts and Guests. One thing that caught my attention while looking for a new opportunity was that Pass the Keys has some core values and that I could relate.
At Pass the Keys, we are proactive, we deliver what we promise, we don’t waste resources but most of all we care. We care about our Hosts, and we will go above and beyond to achieve the best results for their properties. We care about their properties, and we will look after them like they were our own.
That is what excites me about Pass the Keys; knowing that every day the Team will deliver an outstanding level of service with the Hosts and Guests satisfaction in mind, working together to achieve this ultimate goal.
I remember the first time I booked an Airbnb and why I decided to spend my holiday in someone’s home rather than staying in the hotel. I was looking for an experience and a taste of what life could be like at my destination. I searched for a property that would reflect the local culture but also a home with a personality. With that in mind, my best advice for the Host is to be yourself! Another good tip is to have a look at what’s on offer on Airbnb near you; you will be surprised by the offering, not two properties are the same, and it is what makes Airbnb unique. Maybe that will give you the confidence to join the Airbnb movement!
As a guest, you will experience your destination in an all-new way, like a local, there’s nothing like it! It also gives you the opportunity to explore the city how you wish and on your schedule. It is always my prefered way to travel, and I would recommend it to everyone. As a guest, I think it is crucial that your profile reflects who you are and what you are planning to do during your stay; hosts will give you the keys to their home and building trust is essential.
We will not spam you or pass on data. You may be contacted by a personal rental advisor to discuss how we can help.
